Leadership at Medina Changes

Shepherd’s Grace, a Grace Brethren congregation in Medina, Ohio, has joined the family of Grace Church of Akron (Jeff Bogue, pastor), a Grace Brethren congregation which was already meeting in two locations in northern Ohio. The Medina campus is now led by Tony Livigni, who previously served as collegiate pastor at the Bath campus of Grace Church.

UP Site of New Church

A burden for their home community has led James and Roxanne Burke to leave an established ministry in Riner, Va., to begin a Grace Brethren congregation in the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan.

“Menominee Grace Brethren Church will be a daughter of Riner Grace Brethren Church,” says Burke, who pastored at Riner for more than nine years. They plan to arrive in Roxanne’s hometown of Menominee, Mich., in late June and “hope to hit the ground running.”

“We’ve been praying for God to call someone to carry the Gospel to this area,” adds Burke, whose in-laws still live in the area, which he says needs a Bible-preaching church. “God said, ‘You go.’”

They will be partnering with Go2Ministries and the Blue Ridge District of Grace Brethren Churches in this new endeavor.
